This last week was quite exciting for our family for many reasons. We flew to Minnesota to be part of a beautiful day, my cousin, Andrea married the love of her life. And, while we were there for that, we got lots of family time with my mom, my brother (and his girlfriend), and cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and friends. Needless to say, it was a jam-packed trip. It was hard to condense the photos.
We started the adventures by riding the airplane. Before we could even make it to our seats, Enzo was already hamming it up with the flight attendants...
Once we got to Minneapolis, we stayed with my cousin, Gwenda. And, as soon as we stepped foot into her house, Eva and Enzo found the play horse, which they were dying to ride. In fact, that is pretty much what they did for the entire stay...
We got to meet Vivian, Gwen and Matt's darling little girl who recently turned a year old. Enzo and Vivian played so well together...
On Thursday night, Dana and I attended the rehearsal dinner (did I mention I was a bridesmaid?). We had fun hanging with the bridal party and relaxing with drinks and great conversation. Here is Tara (maid of honor), myself, and Andrea (bride-to-be)...
While we were at dinner, what was earlier a bit of sleet turned into the largest snowflakes ever, which turned into quite the snowstorm. Our 1 hour commute turned into 2 hours. And, at that moment, neither Dana or myself was missing living in those conditions. But, when we woke the next morning to everything covered in tons of beautiful white snow, we couldn't help but be happy to introduce it all to Eva and Enzo. Granny (aka, my mom), being the outdoorsy type, has always been daydreaming about introducing my kids to snow and has wanted to build a snowman with them basically since they were born. So, her dreams came true. She built a snow-unicorn with Enzo, which he happily rode for a while...
And also built a snowman with Eva (but I wasn't there to document that). Granny and Daddy taught her how to make snow angels, too...
On Friday, we kind of had a free day (no wedding duties for me), so Uncle Derek and Aunt Cortney took special time with Eva...
They took her to Mall of America where they spoiled her with naughty food, a new toy, time with the Easter Bunny and Dora, and best yet, all the rides in the park. (I can't figure out how to get the pics off my phone, but trust me, she came back extremely exhausted, and overloaded with happines from her fun times).
That night, while Granny watched all the kids, us adults went out. Dana and I were able to meet up with our good friends, Mike and Miranda, and then for drinks with the rest of the crew later. Here is Miranda and I...
Saturday was wedding day. I spent the day with the beautiful bride, getting ready for the big day...
And then, after an exchange of vows and the first kiss, they became a happy Mr. and Mrs...
We spent the rest of the night partying with the new couple and enjoying our family being together...
The next morning, we watched the newlyweds open gifts...
And got the cousins together for one final pic (which doesn't do them justice...they really did love each other and had a blast together)...
Obviously, my favorite part of the wedding was being a witness to my beautiful, wonderful cousin marrying the man of her dreams, but the next best thing was the maid of honor's speech (and if you don't want to watch the whole 8 minutes, at least start it at 2:40)...
