It's been a week and Dana and I have already found our way back to normalcy--kind of. As soon as we got back to San Diego, Dana headed back to the office and I began my duties as a wife. Well, my "duties" haven't changed, its just that I was finally able to get to them now that I don't have the stress of planning the wedding. I've been gathering all our pictures from the wedding, writing out thank yous, updating our website, and now starting to thoroughly clean our house. I'll admit, I completely let go in the last 6 months, and now its time to turn this house around.
Everyone has been asking us if married life has been different, and it really is hard to say. Yes and No. Our daily lives run about the same as they did before, but now we keep trying to find ways to use the words "wife" and "husband" and giggle every time either one of us says it. There is also a bit of a comforting feeling, knowing that we are married and not wondering where our future is as a couple. I, myself, feel a bit less selfish, which might be a big thing to say, but its true and I'm not scared to say it. :) We've always considered each other's opinions before making any decision, but now, its more like "What do we want?", rather than "Would Dana mind if I wanted...". Some people laugh and say we are in our "honeymoon" stage and that good feeling won't last long, but we are here to prove them wrong...hahahaha (yes, Ryan, I'm talking to you!)
Anyway, last night, Dana and I had a good time with our friends, Carrie and Ben, at a pre-season Chargers game. They treated us to tickets for the game, which was so much fun!! The Chargers lost, which really made no difference to me, but hanging out with our friends was the best part of it. We tailgated in the parking lot for a couple hours before the game, along with another couple (Ben and Tina), then hit up the game. Since I had been going to bed at 9Pm every night, I was started to get pretty tired by the end, but it was nice to get out and finally hang out with them!
