Eva is a Preschooler!!

It has been a very long awaited event for Miss Eva, but the day has finally arrived.  She is now a school kid!  (Well, preschool, anyway).  This girl has been asking me to go to school since she first learned how to talk.  Our little social butterfly just knew it would be the place for her.  She got up earlier than usual today, and got ready as fast as she could.  She kept asking, to get reassurance, if I will be dropping her off.  She did NOT want me to stay with her.  To say she was overly excited would be an understatement.

We took a few pictures before we headed out the door...

Then we met her teachers at the front door.  Having had an orientation just a couple days earlier, she recognized her teachers right away.  Before orientation, though, you would have thought she already knew who her teachers were.  I told her we would go to meet them and their names would be Mrs. G and Mrs. Ball.  She thought having a teacher with the name Mrs. Ball was the best thing ever.  She kept laughing about it and telling us how goofy it was and how she couldn't wait to tell her that she was goofy.  So, orienation day comes and Mrs. G says, "Hi, Eva.  I'm Mrs. Gutowski, but you can call me Mrs. G, and..." right before she was about to introduce Mrs. Ball, Eva says "I know who you are!  You're Mrs. Ball!"  with a big giggle, then ran right up to her and gave her the biggest hug.  It was ADORABLE.  And, so here she is with Mrs. Ball...

Eva is in the Sunflowers class 2 days a week...

When I picked her up today, she told me all kinds of things.  She said she made friends and played with 2 boys with Legos.  She played outside until it was the next classes turn to be out there, in which her teacher told her she was hungry for a snack (her words, not mine).  She played with purple Play-doh that smelled like grapes.  And her favorite part of the day was when her teacher read a book about a little girl who had a dolly that was sick and she had to take care of it and that was the last thing they did.  She never mentioned anything about her craft, but this is what she came home with today, and she said it was just for me!

While Eva was at school today, Enzo and I took a trip to the YMCA so I could work out and he could play in Kids Place.  I plan to do a class with him, but we won't start for a couple weeks.  Since we had some time after my workout to waste, we spent some time at the playground...

On orientation day, they also had a parents-only orienatation at night.  Dana stayed home with the kids so I could attend.  I left in such a hurry that I didn't have dinner arranged and he was just getting home from work.  So, Dana decided to take a trip with the kids to Smashburger.  Thats 2 kids with 1 daddy out ot eat, talk about a brave move!  Haha.  They all survived and daddy even took a bragging picture to show that everyone was happy and fed...

Back at home, the kids have continued to play REALLY WELL together.  They are like 2 peas in a pod.  Eva showed Enzo how to plays with plastic dinosaurs and play-doh (no, Eva doesn't have black eyes, she had a marker uni-brow that she drew on all by herself)...

Playing Puppy or Kitty is one of their all time favorite things to do.  I turned around one day to see Enzo, holding a purse, carrying a camera, and holding a doggie leash, with Eva puppy ready to go for a walk.  Oh my gosh, their imaginations just crack me up...

Anytime I see these two holding hands, my heart melts.  Eva is really good about helping me keep track of Enzo, and Enzo will happily hold Eva's hand anytime I ask him too, so there is alot of hand holding that goes on with these two...

And when the day is done, their favorite thing to do is sit with Daddy at his computer and watch whatever Daddy is looking at...even if it is just work...
