As of yesterday, our little man is now a 2 year old!
He is measuring 36" (92%)
And weighing in at about 31 lbs. (90%)
There is no doubt he was ready to become a 2 year old, for her surely does act like one these days! He is gaining independance exponentially and skipping to his own beat. He is smart, goofy, loves to sing, dance, and try out new adventures. He is extremely artistic and creative, has amazing coordination, and great intuition. Enzo is very passionate about his ideas and is also kind and sensitive. Enzo is so many things, but the bottom line is this little guy is growing and maturing so fast that this momma can barely keep up.
Since Dana wasn't going to be here on Enzo's actual birthday, we chose to celebrate with a dinner out over the weekend. Eva chose PF Changs because she has been eyeing up the big white horses in the front of the restaurant every time we drove by for months. Enzo is happy with any restaurant that offers a booth for him to jump around on...
Yesterday morning, Eva and I made eggs and toast and celebrated the birthday boy with a candle and song. Enzo caught on to the fact that it was his birthday pretty quickly and really liked the extra attention...
After dropping Eva off at school, Enzo used his birthday money from Granny to pick out a new toy. Naturally, he chose 2 big matchbox monster trucks, which from that point forward he would not let leave his hands. When he got home, he was greeted with more packages from Gramma and Bopa...
In one of the packages was a new fire truck hat. Enzo loves fire trucks, so he really loved being able to dress like one. From that point forward, his new prized possession were his monster trucks and his fire hat, and when I say "prized", I mean, they have not left his side yet. Curious to know how naptime went? Maybe this picture will give you a good idea (and I promise you, I did not set this up for the pic. This really happened!). LOL
After naptime, we were invited to celebrate the evening with Heather's family with pizza (Enzo's favorite), cupcakes, and of course lots of love from cousins! Of course, there was birthday song and candles, too!
Then we took a little time to wind down and let the food settle by watching a movie together...
Overall, Enzo had a very celebratory birthday. He was loved by so many and truly enjoyed his day. Enzo, my little love, cheers to another magical year!
