On Monday, Eva visited the doctor. Before we went, I happily told her that this would be a fun visit and there would be no shots. She got measured, blood pressure taken, her first hearing test (passed), and her first eye test. The doctor was most impressed with her eye test because she said most kids don't even know their letters to tell them what they see, but not only did Eva know her letters, she also got all of them right on each line. Eyesight is perfect! The downer was that at the end of the visit, we were informed that there were 2 last shots Eva needed to be all caught up. The anticipation was painful, and when the nurse came back with the shots, Eva cried quite a bit (only her second time ever crying about the pokes in her arms). But the absolute most adorable thing ever is that Enzo was so concerned about seeing his big sister crying that he immediately came over and rubbed her back repeatedly while sayind "Ok, Eva, Ok, Eva, Ok, Eva" in the softest, most concering and supportive voice and he did it the whole time she cried for like 5 minutes! The picture was taken before all the tears...
Eva remains to be very goofy, full of excitement, and our social butterfly.
She is witty, outgoing, and very strong inside and out.
Turning four has also brought on new milestones. Eva completely thinks for herself, understands the world around her, she is very observant, and is becoming very good at problem solving. She is maturing and extremely helpful. And when I say helpful, I mean that she is REALLY helpful. She is always asking for jobs to do, prides herself in being the big sister who can take care of her brother, and does whatever she can to make a difference in the world around her. I cannot wait to see what Eva brings in this next year. We love you, Eva Veronica, with all our hearts. You make Mommy and Daddy very proud! Cheers to Four Years Old!
