Once Christmas came to an end, the festivities didn't die down for us. There have been many exciting days to follow.
The day after Christmas, Dana and I took the kids to the annual Big Bay Balloon Parade...
The day after that, our friend, Felipe came over the visit. The kids love when he comes to town (as do Dana and myself). Eva's favorite part of it all is to predict how big of a beard Felipe will have. This visit's beard was classified as "small", which also meant she wouldn't be scared of him and would use him as a jungle gym for the rest of the day...
A couple days later, we had some very special visitors arrive in town via a train! Grandpa, Grandma, Rowan, and Kierce have come to town for a couple weeks to hang out and give us all lots of love and attention. First thing on their agenda was to have a 2nd Christmas with the kids.
One night, Eva and I snuck away to finish up her last day of Sports. They spent the classtime doing a little from each sport, then ended the class with a medal ceremony...
After that it was time to start thinking about how we were going to bring in the new year. The kids and I decorated the house, got confetti poppers and silly string, and prepared an appetizer, and sparkling juice. We got all dressed up in the sparkliest clothes we could find...
Kierce served up Rowan's carmel grapes...
and then we waited for the countdown.
We decided to do an "east coast" countdown, for we could tell the little ones weren't going to make it to midnight, but found that our countdown wasn't quite in sync with each other or the TV channel we were watching. Nonetheless, we popped our confetti and shot silly string on about every inch we could find in the living room, then we toasted to 2015...
Happy New Year to Everyone, we are looking forward to the all the new adventures our family will be on this year!
