This picture was actually taken a couple weeks ago and I already feel WAY bigger than this, will try to get an updated picture soon. Anyway, I only have six weeks to go! The end of this pregnancy is going by way too fast. I have been so busy being a mom to Eva and Enzo, that I feel like I've barely had enough time to really embrace this baby in utero. Luckily, now that the visitors are gone, I have just enough time to "nest" and prepare for baby's arrival.
I have finished the baby's room, which was Eva's old bedroom. I would love to share pictures, but the room is a little small, so I can't get my camera to zoom out enough to really show much of anything. I've painted the once pink walls white, used most of Enzo's decor from when he was a baby, then also added the beautiful paintings that Rowan, Kierce, and Eva made. It has really completed the room. I have his dresser stuffed with clothes for the first 6 months, baby books ready to be read, and the kids helped me on the newest addition to the room by putting together a dimming floor lamp.
At my last doctor's visit, Eva and Enzo both accompanied me. Enzo has come to most of my appointments and always gets to help my midwife check his brother's heartbeat. When we tell Eva about it, she has repeatedly asked if she could please hear her baby, too. So, when she happened to be out of school for this appointment, she was over the moon excited. Enzo showed her how to push the button to turn the machine on, the midwife put the jelly at the end of the wand and let her place the wand over my belly to hear the healthy lub-dub. Right after that, my midwife measured my belly and then said "So which baby was your biggest?". My reply was "Well, Enzo was...but why are you asking?" And she laughed and said that I am measuring a week bigger. Yikes! So, either this baby is going to be my biggest, or he might come a little earlier than expected. Or maybe both!
Baby is moving around like crazy, kicking and pushing under my ribs. He is estimated to be about 5 lbs and anywhere from 19-22" (about the size of a Pineapple).
