Since we've been back from our honeymoon, we've been living the married life to its fullest. Dana and I have both been working really hard all week long, and look forward to finding something interesting to do on the weekends. Our first weekend back from Hawaii we met Paulette and her husband Bo (Paulette works for Dana) who were visiting from North Carolina. We showed them Dana's office, then we went to check out the end of Octoberfest in La Mesa, which is just east of our house about 8 minutes. We ended the night with Paulette and Bo treating us to dinner for our wedding gift. We had so much fun together and endless conversations from love and life to work and success.

This last weekend, Dana and I took advantage of some events going on in San Diego and also created a couple of our own. On Saturday, we were feeling a bit adventurous and decided to go for a new hike from our hiking book. We chose the Bernardo Mountain Summit. It was a 7.5 mile trail with a 1000' ascent. We felt so good when we got to the top, but by the end of it all our legs were starting to get a little stiff. But, we felt so accomplished when we finished, that we couldn't wait for our next hike :) .

On Sunday, we went to Little Italy for their annual Italian Festa. Before we left, Dana thought of the great idea of taking the Trolley to the event. We live pretty close to a Trolley station and knew it would be easier since it drops you off right at the event. We woudln't have to worry about parking. Well, since we never took the trolley before, we kind of made a whole trip out of it. We thought it was more fun than most of the carnival rides at the fair. Our first stop was Italian Festa. We ate delicious food, drank Italian wine, and walked the streets, absorbing all the festivities.

We left the Festa and took the trolley to downtown. We got off and walked 5th Ave. Little did we know, we were walking into an auto show. Well, since we all know how much Dana loves his automobiles, I knew we'd walked into something enjoyable. I made Dana pick out his favorite "Mid Life Crisis" car from the bunch....here it is:

We finished the trolley by taking a loop around the edge of San Diego county and back to the truck. We ended the night with dinner, a Target trip, then some delicious vanilla Beyers ice cream Yum Yum. Now, what are we going to do next weekend? Hmmm...
