This last Easter weekend flew by like the fastest tornado, barely giving me enough time to come up for air, but I survived and the kids smiled during every moment, so it was worth every last drop of energy. Not that I did anything spectacular (The easter bunny filled half the eggs with November's stale cookies--cuz thats how much time it had to plan, haha). With Eva's large imagination and Enzo's catching on to the way the world works, I felt like it was a good year to start some traditions...like dying eggs. I waited to start this one cuz it never really made any sense to me. I mean, what do you really do with that many hard boiled eggs?! But, Eva started asking for it, so dying eggs is just what we did.
Enzo caught on quite well to the process and loved dipping the eggs...
Eva loved developing the process (how to lay things out, who uses what dye, etc.) and really looked forward to adding the funny face stickers and lining them up to take a good look..
And Zander worked on being cute...
Sunday morning, Eva woke early to discover that the Easter Bunny had been by. She found her basket right away (The Easter Bunny really underestimated her spy eyes) and what do you know? She got the Frozen underwear she had been asking for forever...
Enzo woke up a little later and didn't have to look too hard for his basket either, because Eva was so excited to show it to him, she didn't even try to resist to let him look. Luckily, he was ok with that and loved his goodies as well.
After enjoying their baskets, they were really ready for the egg hunt.
And quickly ran back into the house to empty all their contents (look at how organized Eva kept all her goodies!)...
After a little relaxing and lots of candy eating, we cleaned up and got ready for Easter dinner with our friends. I dressed the kids in their latest Bcat Threads clothes, made especially for them by their mommy ;) Eva didn't want a matching dinosaur dress, asking to having something "girlie" instead.
We had four families for dinner, so lots of kids running around. Eva and Enzo were in heaven. The girls were really cute to watch, they were pretty inseperable the whole time...
And when they weren't running around, they were taking turns giving Zander love...
By the time everyone left and the house was somewhat picked up, our weekend was over just like that!
