I know I've been slacking a bit on updating our blogs (I was in a good habit of writing one a week), but I think I have a few good reasons. One is that Dana and I have both been working really hard lately. Dana was gone to Vegas for SEMA for a whole week, I was running around working on some new design ideas. And, after all that hard work, neither of us want to do anything when the weekends are finally here. We have both become such homebodies, it makes me laugh. "Do you want to go hang out with ...?", "Hmm, maybe we should just have them come over to our place." Or, "Want to see what's going on this weekend?", "Well, not really. Let's just stay home." And, my favorite one yet, "Hey Dana, its BEER WEEK, want to go check out the fesitivities?", and he replies with "Nah, I really just want to stay home." Ha! What has gotten into us? Maybe its the weather. Now that its cooling down, we just want to stay warm and cozy in the house. Or, maybe its the honeymoon phase. We just want to be together and don't want to share our time with anyone else. Hmm? I don't know.
Regardless of what it is, we finally got over our slump and decided to get out into the world and see what's been going on around us. This last Wednesday, we made a date with our friend, Ryan. We've been friends with him since the very beginning of our relationship (he lived next door to me), and we always make a point to check in and keep in touch with him. Our friend, Dalina, was hosting a martini tasting in Pacific Beach, so we went to check that out. We ate a scrumptious dinner, which Ryan treated (thank you, Ryan!), then hung out and caught up on life.
