Eva was VERY excited to have a birthday party this year. Being that she is really in to "popular music", as she calls it, and loves to sing, we thought it would be very fitting to have a "Rockstar" party. Grandma and Grandpa gifted her a karaoke machine early for the festivities and Daddy built her a stage for the big day. Her only wish was that it would be a "Drop-off" party, meaning the parents would drop their kid off, instead of sticking around. This was all of her friends' first drop-off party, so they were all hesitant when they arrived, but almost immediately had no problem saying good-bye and having instant fun! We had a Rockstar make-over station with glasses, tattoos, and colored hair extenstions. We also had a decorate your own guitar station, where all the girls had fun coloring cardstock guitar cut-outs. The best, though, was the stage and music. Each girl (even the typically shy ones) grabbed a hold of that microphone and gave their voice a chance.
Being that Eva was the Birthday Rockstar, she also needed a bodyguard...
The girls played musical chairs, made a music video, and sang "Happy Birthday" to Eva with their microphone cupcakes (cupcakes inside of ice cream cones) and had SO MUCH FUN.
Another special treat for Eva's birthday was that Granny was here to help her celebrate. She was a helping hand for me (thanks, Mom!!) and also here to shower Eva with love...
She got Eva rollerblades and was happy to actually be here to watch her test them out. She's a natural!
On the day of her actual birthday Dana had off from work, so we let Eva pick how the day would go. We first had breakfast at Nate's Garden Grill at City Farmer's Nursery (one of our fave spots). We ventured through the farm, visited the animals, played with friends, enjoyed all the beauty together...
After breakfast we took a visit to Boomers to play arcade games and ride Go-Carts...
Then the kids finished up the tickets with a couple rides...
When we got back home, Eva was greeted by Auntie Vonnie who had a gift waiting for her...
Then we ate Smashburger, and ended the night with birthday song and cheesecake!
And now Eva is officially six years old! She is such a bright, wonderful six year old, we are just so blessed to have her for our daughter. She is so loving and maturing so beautifully inside and out, cheers to another wonderful year, our little lady!
