Enzo's Last Year of Preschool

Enzo's Last Year of Preschool

Being that both Enzo's teachers from last year and myself recommended that Enzo be in the 'Bees' class this year, we had a pretty strong feeling that is where he would end up.  The Bees class is a kindergarten prep-like class, where typically the kids all have Fall birthdays.  Since that was the case, I knew that Enzo would also be with a lot of different kids than last year, so I wanted him to have the chance to get aquainted before school started.  So, while the big kids were in school one day, Enzo, Zander, and I brought Bennett and his mom to Legoland with us.  The boys see each other at the gym and play well together, but knowing they would probalby be in class together was even more incentive for our playdate.

Basically, they've been inseperable ever since.

Soon after that playdate, school was starting.  Enzo was going to be in his last year of Pre-school (tear) as a Bee...

We were greeted at the gate of the school by one of his favorite friend's, Aiden...

Then they very anxiously waited until the doors opened for class, smearing every last section with hand and face prints...

Once they bursted through the doors, they quickly said hello to their new teachers.  Miss Judy was exciting right away, of course, because she shares the same name as Granny...

And Miss Torres was already a favorite that Enzo was familiar with during Lunch Bunch last year, for she was one of the teachers...

Once he said good morming to his new teachers, we went right into action with is plan.  He wanted to get to the Lincoln Logs, so he and Bennett could build a city together, which is exactly what they did...

Enzo had a great first day and I am very confidant that it will continue to go well through the school year.  He has wonderful teachers and a great group of kids in his class.  He has tons of different building tools and space to use his imagination and creativity.  This school is his happy place without a doubt.

All this talk about Eva going to school, then Enzo going to school was really starting to disappoint Zander.  He wants to go to school, too, and has repeatedly told me so.  So, Zander and I are doing another Mommy and Me class with Teacher Michelle.  On our first day, Zander was so eager to reunite with her that he charged her at full speed for a big bear hug...

During our first circle time, Zander was so excited to be a big boy and sit nicely on the rug to listen to the story and sing some songs...

He was also very interested in craft time, where he made an apple craft with handprints, stickers, glued paper, and a poem.  He was quite proud of his work...

Zander's only problem with class is that it's only 1 day a week, haha.
