We Bought Our First House!!!!

Since the day I met Dana he has always discussed his strong desire to own his own house.  I'm sure many men (and women) can relate to that.  Being that we live in San Diego, it has been more of a challenge and a far bigger goal to reach than we had ever expected.  But after years of hard work and dedication, we have finally reached that goal.  We are now proud owners of our own house!!  This has been a very exciting adventure for us, and now the time has come.  We met last night with our loan officer to sign all the official documents to receive our funding, then on Monday we close with Escrow and get our keys!!  Here we are signing out papers:

Our loan officer was also kind enough to give us a congratulatory gift of wine and two wine glasses.  They are etched with our names and a message from the loan officer.  What a great idea. 

Now we can tell you a little about our house.  We bought a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a neighborhood called "Rolando".  Its about 8 miles east of the ocean, in a quiet neighborhood close to San Diego State University.  We have a huge backyard that spans the distance of about 3 "typical" San Diego yards, totaling 1/3-1/2 acres.  We will have plenty of room for a garden, fruit trees, patio furniture, and even a pool, if we ever decide to get one.  If you are interested, take a look at the pictures we took when we went for our inspection.  Pictures are here.  Of course we have some changes we will be making right away, but for the most part, its in great enough shape to move right in.  So, if anyone wants to come and visit, we would love to have you.  :)

And, on a side note, I would like to give a shout out to my old man, for today is his Birthday.  Happy Birthday, Dad!  We love you!
