Home Is Where The Heart Is

Looking forward to the weekends these days mean something totally different than it did before the house.  Now, having the weekend means getting big projects done, not hanging out at the beach with our friends.  And, we are still enjoying our weekends :)  After having my mom and brother here helping with things around the house, Dana just couldn't wait to get back to his yard and perfect it just a big more (he just can't stay away).  Seeing him all dirty with grubby clothes has become far more common than the old Dana who was showered and clean shaven everyday.  But I guess I can't complain, for I haven't been up to par these days either.  ha!  (This picture really doesn't show just how dirty he is)

Along with the yard, we were able to put in two of the three of the last windows we need to replace.  And, we also added some better appearance to the front of the house.  If you remember, we had bars enclosing the whole front porch of the house, see pic below.

But we finally had enough.  So, Dana cut down all the bars, just leaving a railing.  It has made a huge difference.  The house looks so different!  Check it out:

And, now that I had some time, I was finally able to frame our wedding pictures and hang them on the wall.  We put them in the hallway between the bathroom and our bedroom, which needed some sprucing up.  They look really nice up there and add so much detail, I love walking by everyday and being reminded of our beautiful wedding and my wonderful husband.  Here are the before and after pictures.
