What a week it's been. Same ole' same for Dana and I, as far as spending most of all our time working on the house. We have finally completed 2 rooms, both the bathroom and my work room. But, I ran out of time today, so I will have to post pictures later. And, while Dana wanted more time to spend out in his huge yard, adding more trees, plants, and flowers, I took the time to catch up with some of my greatest girlfriends that I haven't seen in so long. Last Wednesday, my friend, Megan, and I drove up to LA to meet with my friend Brooke, who was visiting from Washington. We only had a half day to spend together and let me tell you, the time went by way too fast!! There just aren't enough hours in the day to catch up with great friends. Here is a pic of us, hanging out at The Grove, a shopping center in LA. (left to right: me, Brooke, and Megan)
And, as if that wasn't enough girl time for me...I also went up to LA Saturday and stayed the night to visit my friend, Dana, who I went to college with in Minnesota. My hubbie, Dana, really wanted to spend time working on the house, and I really wanted to celebrate the holiday, so I drove up to spend Sunday with my friend, Dana. It was so much fun. We got to catch up on our lives, go out to eat, and best of all, hang out at the beach all day. The beaches were extremely busy. There were so many festive people everywhere. You would've thought with everything going on that I would've grabbed the camera for evidence, but I didn't even think of it once!
Of course, the best part of my 4th of July weekend was when I made an appearance in Wisconsin with my family. I was only "partly" there, but boy did I get around. Haha. In the first picture, I am with my Aunt Rhonda, her friend, Barb, and my cousin, Ashley. We were hanging out at the local bar close to their lake house. Fun times!
In the next pic, I am hanging out with Little Max, my cousin's boy. We always enjoy blowing bubbles together. That is how we bond.
These pictures, along with many more, were the highlight of the weekend. I am always photoshopping my face into pictures with my family, making it look like I was there with them...so this was their way of including me over their weekend. It is always hard for me to see everyone having a fun time together, I wish I could be with them! Family gatherings are always the hardest times to be so far away from home. At least I know that they are always including me in spirit--and in blown up pictures of myself. Haha, I love you guys, thank you! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend, I can't wait to hear about it!
In other news, this is going to be a busy week for us...one of the most exciting things is that we will be going in to get an ultrasound of our baby on Wednesday. We are hoping for our baby to be super healthy and doing well in my belly. And, we will be finding out the sex! If you haven't already, take our survey and let us know if you think we are having a boy or a girl. click here for the survey We will be posting our news as soon as I get back to the computer.
