Haute With Heart

Haute With Heart

Now that my computer is back on track, I can blog again!  Trying to maneuver Dana's Mac was driving me crazy, so all I managed to do was keep my emails in order.  Oh, how I missed my PC :)  Anyway, our weekends of doing whatever comes up are long gone, for we are booked up all the way until the baby comes.  Not that we are complaining because everything going on is all fun and spending time with friends and family.  Last weekend was no different.  We planned a Saturday with friends, Victor and Rhaylene, who invited us to a fashion show luncheon called "Haute with Heart" which they contributed to.  It was an event put on by St. Madeleine Sophie's Center, which is "a unique organization that helps adults with develop-mental disabilities find a way of life that makes a world of difference".  They had a huge silent auction, opportunity drawings, a delicious lunch (I'm pretty sure dessert was Dana's favorite part), and a fashion show.  The best part of it all was that we finally got to spend some time with friends that we have been trying toget together with for some time.  Among many other conversations, they were filling me in on their life experiences with a 7 year old daughter.  Boy, do we have a lot to look forward to ;)

After our luncheon event, Dana and I finally got the word that our crib was in and we were able to go and pick it up.  I was so excited because that meant I could also work on putting the baby's room together.  Dana assembled the crib (thanks, my love) and I started decorating the walls.  It is coming together exactly how I wanted, but I still have a few more things I need to add to the wall and figure out what type of curtain I want to hang for the closet.  It is so close and looking so good!

Next week I will be leaving my hubby and taking off for Santa Barbara for my friend, Jen's bachelorette party....who can complain about a girl's weekend hanging out by the pool all weekend?  It will be a perfect weekend for Dana to spend in his personal oasis (maybe I'll come home to some newly grown veggies :)
