Trick-or-Treat, Smell My Feet, Give Me Something Good To Eat

Knowing that Dana was going to be gone for our first Halloween at the new house, I arranged to have my friend, Dalina come over to join me in passing out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters.  I was really excited because this would be the first year that we would be able to participate in passing out candy, since in the years past we lived in a house that was hidden and nobody knew we were there.  I just started building up our Halloween decorations, so we had only a few, but enough to let the kids know that we were ready to give them a treat.  I wasn't able to get a pumpkin, which was disappointing, but the kids still came :)

I have had some major back pain and wasn't able to move around much, so Dalina and I created a system that worked out wonderfully.  As the kids approached the house, Rocky would start to get excited, so Dalina would hand him to me, and Dalina would greet the trick-or-treaters with a big bowl of candy for them to choose what they wanted.  I was surprised at the big turn out.  We polished through two huge bags of candy and started on a third bag before the night wound down.

It was fun having Dalina over to celebrate Halloween together and catch up on some girl time.  And, it was very much appreciated on my part, for I was having such a hard time moving around, that it was nice to have Dalina pass out all the candy to the kiddies.  Thank you, D-Sun, I had a wonderful night with you, thanks for all the help.  :)
