We were wrapping up our vacation with our last weekend before flying home. We arranged to spend Saturday night with our friends, Mike and Miranda. Sunday was Mother's Day, so we thought it would be the perfect time to spend together, being that Miranda and I are both moms. We drove to their house Saturday afternoon and, while we could've been a bit unsure which house it was, Miranda and Brenna made it very easy and welcoming for us. Their driveway said "Welcome Nevins Family" with big chalk letters...
The guys immediately got to work preparing for dinner, which included a Dairy Queen Mother's Day cake for Miranda and myself for dessert (Yummy!!).
Brenna, in the meantime, couldn't wait to get her hands on baby Eva.
She was sooo good with Eva. She helped do everything from putting Eva down for her nap, to changing her diaper, to playing peek-a-boo, to everything else in between. I think she is getting very excited to be a big sister and she couldn't be more perfectly cut out for the job.
When Brenna wasn't helping with Eva, she was busy getting time in with Dana. She liked him immediately and loved sitting on his lap (despite what the picture may look like :) ).
Dana wasn't the only one getting in some time with the girls, Mike got his fair share as well...
Sunday morning went wonderfully. We started it off with a little coffee, while Miranda made waffles and Mike made eggs and bacon that was either maple syrup bacon, or maple bacon (yet to be determined). There was fresh cut fruit, juice, and yes, a little ice cream cake, too.
We had the most remarkable time with such wonderful friends, it was the perfect Mother's Day ever. Thank you Mike, Miranda, Brenna, and B#2 for being so incredibly hospitable. We had a great time with all of you and we are soooo glad that we got to spend our last days back home with you. See you in SD for Father's Day ;)
