Now that we are back home, we've been quick to get back in to the swing of things. Since we were away for Mother's Day, Dana wanted to treat me to a night out to dinner once we were back in San Diego. We chose Joe's Crab Shack, as it's one of our favorite restaurants and very accomodating to small children/babies. Even though it was a casual dinner, I still wanted to get Eva a little dressed up just for fun. How cute is she?
And, one with me for my special day :)
This last Saturday, we went to our friends, Dalina and Brad's new place for a BBQ. To our surprise, we were not the only people there with a baby, in fact, we were the only parents there with only one! It was a fun time for we got to hang out with other parents, eat really yummy food and, and just relax. Eva did so good the whole day. Everyone commented on how smiley and happy she was. She just loved being held by mom and dad and checking out all the action.
Here is the cute couple getting things ready in the kitchen
And, here is Dalina with our precious little girl
Thank you so much for the delicious food and great party, Brad and Dalina!
It's been a while since I've updated you all on Eva news. She is getting stronger than ever. She is very alert and completely aware of all her surroundings. She wants to see everything and touch anything in her reach. She grabs whatever she can as quick as possible. She is throwing toys over her shoulder. She has started putting her arms out when she wants to be held, and will also show some shyness if she doesn't want you to hold her. She is very aware of her name and always looks when called (unless she just doesn't want to). She is not crawling yet, but manages to move around quite a bit. She rolls over very quickly and I often times find her on her belly when she goes down for her naps. She smiles and laughs all day long, which brings joy to everyone around her. I mean, hello, who doesn't feel warm and fuzzy inside when they can make a baby smile? She is our pride and joy, I love you Eva Veronica!
