Dana and I were looking forward to this last weekend because we planned to get out of the house and try something new. I found the perfect idea, so on Sunday, we headed to the Quail Botanic Gardens in Encinitas, California. We walked around for a few hours, checking out all the neat plants, trees, and flowers. It was beautiful out and the day was very enjoyable.
And Of course, I could see a checklist formulating in Dana's head as to what trees he still wants to get.
We conquered a big chunk of the gardens, but still had quite a bit left to see and we were getting hungry and tired, so we vowed to go back and finish our adventures...but before that happened, we got to see some really cool bamboo
And a couple really pretty little waterfalls...
There were so many photographic moments and I tried my best to capture them all, you can view all our pictures from the day by clicking here.
Now I can talk to you about little Miss Eva Pie. Boy is this little girl making changes! First of all, her hair is starting to get a big longer...I even managed to put it up in a ponytail. Haha. I can't wait until the day I get to do her hair.
She is getting big enough and strong enough that we finally upgraded her to a big girl stroller. We use to put her in the car seat that latched onto the top of the stroller, but now she's in the stroller all by herself, and loves it! She kicks her feet the whole time (which means she's happy) and looks at all her surroundings. She would live in that stroller if she could :)
Over the weekend, I also moved the coffee table from our living room off to the side and threw a big blanket on the floor to see what Eva would do. Well, that girl is a movin' these days! It took her about 2 minutes total to get from the center of the blanket to wedged between our front stand and speaker...and, how, you may ask? Well, its because she is crawling backwards! I'm telling you, this girl wants to crawl and she wants it bad. She could care less about sitting up or anything else, she just wants to crawl!
And, she wants to be heard! "Yayayayaya! Dadadadadada! Mamamamama!" Its non-stop all day long. Talkin', talkin', talkin'. It is so cute to listen to her. Music to my ears :)
