Sangria and Sand

Dana, Eva, and myself have had a fun and busy weekend out and about.  One of Dana's programmers, Kyle and his girlfriend, Vanessa, flew into San Diego on their way back to Florida from Hawaii.  He has been working for Dana for quite some time now and they had yet to ever meet in person.  The visit was great because Kyle got to work a day in the office and we also got to hang out on a double date to get to know each other on a personal level.  We had lunch, including a pitcher of Sangria, at The Prado in Balboa Park.  It was great company and so nice to have two extra set of hands to hold Eva...

After lunch, we walked around the park for a little bit and even managed to get a family picture :)

It ended up being a beautiful day with the sun shining, so after leaving the park, we all met up with some of our family down at the beach.  Cousin Lorie's nephew, Kyle, was visiting from Michigan, so a big group of us hung at the beach.  Right when we got there, Aunt Lorie grabbed Eva right out of our arms and started playing with her in the sand.  It's hard to tell who was having more fun, they just loved playing together...

Tyler also took his turn meeting Eva and holding her for a bit.  To try and figure out the relationship is a bit of a challenge.  Tyler's mom is Dana's cousin, so what would that make Eva and Tyler?  3rd cousins? Hmmm....regardless, he was so good with her and she loved having the extra attention on her.

And, then it was time to go.  We had a long day, but got to spend it with so many special people....and tonight?  Headed to Phil's BBQ with the Janis family and the Palladinos....Yum, yum!!
