Fourth Of July Weekend

May Gray and June Gloom no longer, as 4th of July approached over the weekend, the sun and heat hit San Diego.  No better way to celebrate than with family and a pool.  Last Saturday, Heather and Ryan had us over for some delicious BBQed food and fun by the pool.  Dana started the day off jumping in the pool with the kids.  He brought Eva with him in the water for a little bit so she could splash around for a while, but her time in the pool was short-lived and Dana continued with the bigger kids.  He took turns throwing Kierce and Rowan in the air, which I'm sure was a great workout for his arms, and got the girls really excited to be in the pool with their Uncle Dana.

After pool time and eating, Rowan watched Eva while she rolled around the floor playing with the Weebles that they saved for her to have when visiting their house.

Then, we finished the day off with a nice walk around the neighborhood and a little more conversation before heading home.

On the 4th of July, we met back up with Heather, Ryan, and the kids to celebrate Independance Day in Poway at the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration.  They had a train station with a steam train for everyone to ride, a pretend train robbery/gun fight, arts and crafts (including a quilt show), and good food.  The day was a ton of fun despite the hot weather.  Here I am with Eva before the festivities showing off our Indepedance Day apparel...

Here I am with Rowan and Kierce after we made our Windsocks in the crafts area...

Here is everyone getting ready for their train ride (Eva and I stayed behind since they didn't allow strollers)...

And lastly, a family picture before the day was done...

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
