Saying that Eva would be walking by this week wasn't too far from the truth. She wants it BAD...which means, yes, she is already pulling up and trying to stand. The other day I watched her try so hard to get around her chair and work her way into getting up to the plants...because they just looked oh so tasty.
Since she has discovered pulling up and standing, she is constantly looking for the next challenge.
On her down time, when she's actually satisfied with "just" crawling, she is having a ton of fun with Rocky. She chases him all over the house, laughing the whole time. Rocky? Not so much. He isn't running for fun. He wants to get far far away from her. Little does he know that jumping through the doggy door to get outside probably isn't going to work for much longer.
And, when Eva has finally given up on Rocky, she now helps herself to her toy box...
Our baby girl isn't so baby anymore. It seems like just yesterday she was still in my belly.
And speaking of Eva in my belly, as you may remember, Dana and I took Lamaze classes to prepare for the birth. In our class, we hit it off with another couple, Melinda and Andy, who were expecting a boy just a few days after us. Thanks to text messaging and Facebook we have been able to stay in touch with them and finally managed a meetup over the weekend. Here is the adorable family...
We met up for Brunch at Karl Strauss (one of our all-time faves) and had a great time together...
Aiden and Eva loved each other! We agreed that next time we have to get them together somewhere where they can roll around together and play. Being that they are both super smiley babies, they are just going to have a blast together....
I think it's every first time mom's hopes to meet someone in their birthing class that they can meet and stay in touch with, so I've been really excited that not only were we able to get together, but that we got along so well that we are hoping to make it a much more frequent thing. The mom's got along, the dad's have began their bromance, and the babies, well, the picture above speaks for itself. We can't wait for next time!!
