Eva and I have had a very busy week last week, rather than bore you with words, I am going to go through the days of the week with pictures, and just enough caption to give you an idea of how much fun we were having.
On Monday, we met up with Heather and the kids for a day at the zoo. Eva surprised Aunt Heather by wearing a onesie that said "My Aunt Is The Best", which Kierce helped us pick out on our day of shopping together. I think it made Aunt Heather very happy...
Since we went early this time, we were lucky to see many of the animals out and about before hiding from the heat. The Giraffe gave us a really good view, lol

On Tuesday, Aunt Jean and cousin, Amy were visiting from New Mexico. We had everyone at our house for dinner and lots of catching up.
Eva and I did alot of running around on Wednesday with no pictures to show...so here is one you might enjoy instead. As soon as daddy babyproofed the house, Eva was bound and determined to get into something that looked off limits. This is where I found her, trying to get to Rocky's toys (because, of course, they look like so much more fun than all of the toys she has scattered about the house)...
On Thursday, Dana and I celebrated his birthday by going on our first date without Eva. We got dressed up and enjoyed a lovely, romantic dinner overlooking the San Diego Bay. Of course, we talked about Eva the whole time, but it was really nice to have a relaxing dinner, just the two of us. (Read more about Dana's birthday here)
On Friday, we spent a little more time with Aunt Jean and Amy before they boarded their flight back home. Heather was gracious enough to have us over to their place and even made her scrumptious taco salad for lunch...
On Saturday, Heather and the family had us over to their place to have a group gathering to celebrate Dana's birthday. Ryan grilled delicious burgers, Heather made a very tastey Red Velvet Cake with beet juice coloring, Uncle Dana enjoyed the pool with all the kids, and the rest of us enjoyed each other's company
On Sunday, we relaxed at home...since it was hot out, we also decided to blow up the new kiddie pool we got Eva to see how she liked it. Pretty sure she had a good time.
Then later that evening, the kids came over for a sleepover! We had so much fun. Dana brougth everyone for a Bronco ride, we watched a movie, and Uncle Dana made his infamous popcorn (inspired by Grandpa Nevins--we can't tell you the secret ingrediant, but we can assure you it's pretty darn good). Rowan And Kierce also spent time cuddling with Rocky and assuring him that they really love him.
And, Merrick spent time showing Eva how to play with her toys. He was so good with her and explaining how things worked and how much fun they were. Eva loved looking at her toys from a whole new perspective.
