Our week started off on the right foot when on Monday, we were finally able to go and meet little Ben, my friend Ruth's baby. If you'll remember, I was very pregnant at her wedding 1 1/2 years ago. Now it was her turn to welcome a beautiful little baby into this world. He is about 8 weeks now and spent most of our visit sleeping, but we did manage to get in a little time with him before it was time for Eva's nap. Eva loved looking at him, she really wanted to touch his eyes and figure out why he was so small! She actually did very well and was really excited to give him a big kiss (pic #2)
Later in the week, things took a turn for the worse :( On Wednesday I ended up extremely sick with the flu, causing Dana to have to come home from work to care for Eva. He, too, ended up sick and so two of us were juggling Eva duties while just trying to stay alive. On Friday, I started feeling better and made myself get out of the house for a bit and took Eva to the park. On my way back, I found that my phone had taken a bath in a pool of water, so that no longer works. On Saturday, Eva is super sick with a high fever and doesn't want to leave my arms. On Sunday, we layed low, but got out to have lunch at the park, where Eva could get a little fresh air and sunlight...
But even that didn't last very long, for Eva was just not feeling well. By Sunday night, Eva went to bed, Dana and I watched a movie and things finally started to feel like they were getting back on track. Never thought I would say thank god for Monday! We are all feeling good and ready to tackle a new week, hoping for health and happiness.
P.S. I still don't have a phone, so just in case you have been texting me for the last few days, I haven't received them. I'm hoping for a new phone tomorrow.
And, just to end with a smile, here's my baby girl...
