After everyone in our family got sick, it was nice to start a new week with regained energy, feeling healthy once again. Thanks to my sis-in-law, Eva and I joined a couple free classes for 12-23 month toddlers. On Wednesday, we went to an indoor class where we sang songs, read books, played with other kids, met other moms, ran around and burned a ton of energy. Eva loved the new things she saw and did, and I loved watching her run around experiencing everything. And, for the next 17 weeks, we will be able to do this every Wednesday.
On Thursday, we went to another class that is very similar except that it meets at a different park every week. Eva and I are equally excited about it because it will give us a chance to find new places to hang out as well as make new friends and have a new fun activity to look forward to every week. This last Thursday, we met at Balboa Park - Peppergrove Playground. Eva played with all the playground equipment, ran around in the open grassy areas, dug up sand, and had a blast with the group activities.
We sang songs, played with a big parachute, and her favorite part...playing with bubbles.
To get a better idea...
We had so much fun with our new adventures, we can't wait for what this weeks activities have in store for us.
Over the weekend, Dana had a ton of yard work to catch up on, and Eva and I arranged a photo shoot with Ariana Drehsler (who shot her in pink tulle a year ago). I don't have pictures yet, but I am excited to see them. Eva wore all clothes designed and made by me and we shot in different areas between my house and my wonderful neighbor, Evonne's place. Can't wait to share the results with you!
Sunday was family day, and we were all excited to spend the day together, enjoying the beautiful sunshine. In the early morning, we were lucky enough to join up Sam, Elizabeth, and Oliver for breakfast at Hash House in Hillcrest. The food was delicious, but better yet, was the company. It was so nice to get Oliver and Eva together again and wonderful to have the time with friends we don't see often enough. Oliver is getting so big and just flat out adorable, I wanted to take him home with us...
Even Dana got in on some Oliver action...
After we left them, we headed over to Balboa Park to play at the playground and walk around enjoying the scenery. Of course, Dana needed to make a trip over to the Botanical Garden to compare his work to what they had going on. Near the garden, we saw a bunch of turtles and fish swimming around, leisurely enjoying their day...
And, Now that Eva is old enough, Dana was also very excited to ride the little train that goes through a small part of the park. I'm not sure who had more fun, both Daddy and Eva loved it!...
Cheers to a fun week last week and hoping we have nice weather again this week (although, I hear its suppose to rain :( )
