Stuffy Nose, Go Away!

Stuffy Nose, Go Away!

It seems like just yesterday I was blogging about how everyone in our family was happy and healthy...and yet, AGAIN, another bug made its way back into our house. Eva started off with a little sniffle on Thursday, which turned into a full blown stuffy nose. Thank god it hasn't transpired into anything worse, but it IS NOT FUN to have a stuffy nosed toddler. She can't blow and won't let me use the sucker to get the snot out, so I spend most of my day chasing her around with a kleenex. The poor girl's face is red from irriation and for the times that I couldn't get to her in time I am finding snot marks all over everything in our house. No Fun!

With that being said, though, I did not let that stop us from continuing on with our schedule as planned. Keeping her couped up in the house for a stuffy nose would have been too much of a challenge. Eva and I had many more important things to do. On Wednesday, we headed off to our toddler class looking as adorable as ever...

Eva loves to play with other kids and loves all the fun activities, especially the bubbles and parachutes...

But, at the end of the day, all she wants to do is sit on a big chair and read a book (no joke, she LOVES BOOKS and CHAIRS)...

On Friday, Eva and I were left to our own devices. I went to Target earlier that day to pick up some art supplies with plans to attempt a craft day in the future. I thought, "what better time to try than now? I wasn't sure how Eva would handle paint, markers, stickers, play-doh, or anything of the craft nature, but to my surprise, she did really well. She took her work very seriously, quickly learning how to make brush strokes, handprints, sponge paint, and stick stickers on paper, which made beautiful Valentines for everyone at WDS...

Over the weekend, Daddy was eager to hang out with us, so on Saturday we made our way up to the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland. We let Eva run around as she wished where she had an absolute blast finding new things to look at...

Here is our attempt at a family shot...

Of course, the exit to the aquarium required us to walk through the gift shop where Daddy couldn't resist letting Eva pick out her favorite thing. She fell in love with a big eyed baby seal, which she named "Baby" (Of course!). She loves it, she kept hugging and kissing it over and over and laughing and smiling...How do you say no to that? Here she is kissing it in action...

And, on Sunday, Heather, Ryan, and the kids invited us over for an early birthday celebration for ME! It was so thoughtful...they all made a huge effort to make me feel very special. Heather made yummy food, all with me in mind...especially with her infamous toffee bars (instead of the traditional birthday cake)...

To burn off a little energy, we went down to the beach to catch the sunset. Look at the great group shot!

Thank you Heather, Ryan, Rowan, Kierce, Merrick, Paulette, Bo, Abigail,nDana, and my precious little Eva for making me feel so loved and special!
