Me llamo Rocky

Romance in Mexico

While my mom has been here visiting, she granted Dana and I a vacation of our very own while she stayed on Granny Duty, taking care of Eva and Rocky.  Dana and I jumped at the opportunity, choosing Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as our vacation destination.  We spent 6 days doing whatever we wanted to do, making sure that relaxatin remained at the top of our priority list.  The weather in Cabo was perfect.  It was in the 90's, but being that we were right on the water, we also had an ocean breeze that cooled you just enough to feel perfect.  We stayed at Casa Dorada, which also turned out the be the perfect choice.  Our room was beautiful, we overlooked the pool, and also had a perfect view of the ocean.   The only problem we ran into is that we had to decide whether we were going to have a beach day or a pool day.  Yup, it was rough.

We spent many hours at the beach...

...and many hours at the pool.

We did try and get out to do a few things here and there, but kept it pretty simple.  Of course, we ate lots of great Mexican Food...

and with that, Dana sampled lots of tequila...

We also did a little sightseeing, taking a CRAZY sunset cruise near the famous El Arco, "The Arch"...

And, we also got a little adventurous.  Dana rented a jetski, while I watched from shore...

But then the two of us went on a 3 hour ATV adventure through the desert, ending on the beach.  I even drove my own 4-wheeler!  It was so much fun...

Most importantly, though, Dana and I got to spend 6 whole uninteruppted days together.  It's been a really long time and we so needed it!  We loved all the time we got together. In the end, though, we couldn't wait to wrap our arms around little Eva and tell her how much we thought about her while we were gone.  We knew she was in good hands and are just so happy that not only did Dana and I get to have time together, but Granny and Eva got their time together, too.  Thank you so so much, Mom for everything!  (You can see more Cabo pics here.)
