For the last few months, Dana and I have finally found a wonderful babysitter who came highly recommended. Eva really enjoys her visits, and now Dana and I are finally enjoying some date nights a couple times a month. Sometimes we take the opportunity to get some alone time, but alot of times we are trying to catch up with all the adults in our life that we haven't been able to hang out with since becoming parents. This last week, our friend Normandy invited us to her fiance, Jeff's, comedy show. He had been taking classes in comedy and the class finale was to have a friendly, funny competition in front of an audience. The whole idea was very similar to "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" (improvisational comedy). Anyway, Dana and I grabbed some tacos for dinner, then headed over to the show. Let me tell you, Jeff is quite the funny man and the show was hilarious. Dana and I had a really good time and we're so happy we made it. And, to top it off, Jeff's team won the competition! Here are some of us meeting up with Mr. Funny Pants and his bride-to-be after the show...

Wednesday was back to mommy duty for me and work for daddy. It was a big day for Eva and I for we were celebrating her last day of class (even though the summer class starts this week already). We enjoyed dancing to music, reading books, a potluck lunch, and a good-bye hug and kiss to Teacher Michelle...
Over the weekend, we celebrated some more. This time we were celebrating Oliver's 1st Birthday. We had so much fun with his farm-themed party at Balboa Park. Their were horsey haystacks to ride, as the birthday boy himself shows you here (with his grandma)...
There was also music time, snacks, and of course singing Happy Birthday to Oliver.Eva had the most fun joining all the big kids on the playground. And, I had some fun joining her...
Then on Sunday, we dedicated the day to hanging out with Rocky (for he always seems to get left behind on our weekend adventures). Ocean Beach had a Doggie Festival on Sunday morning. Knowing how much Eva loves dogs and Rocky is a dog, we thought "why not?". It turned out to be a lovely day for everyone. Eva had fun testing out the doghouses...
and getting to ride on daddy's shoulders AND playing with a balloon...
Rocky was a little worried about all the big dogs walking around, so he got VIP stroller service from daddy...
and got held in his favorite spot (mommy's arms, of course!) for the remainder of the time...
We got home just in time for Eva's nap, which always makes for a perfect day and the perfect way to wrap up our weekend. :)
