My Daddy Is The Best!

Dana, Eva, and myself had a fun day celebrating Father's Day yesterday.  We were so happy to be together and have some fun!  We started the morning off by giving daddy his gifts.  Eva and daddy enjoyed opening everything together...

After everyone got dressed, we headed out the door.  Eva saw daddy wearing sunglasses and just had to show off her own pair...

Then we headed into Seaworld for brunch with Shamu!  It was such a wonderful experience, look how close we were to the whales!

After eating, we spent the rest of the day playing at Seaworld.  Despite the fact that Dana wasn't feeling well, and Eva had to take her nap in the stroller, we all had a blast the entire day.  At the very end, Eva started getting a little fussy so we kept telling her we could go and see Elmo, which cheered her right up.  They have a Sesame play area for small kids, so we were going to head over there, hoping the pictures of Elmo everywhere would suffice for "going to see Elmo", but low and behold, we got to the play area and there he was!  The real Elmo!  Eva got to give him a big hug, tell him how much she loved him, then we all took a picture with him and the Count.  Eva was so mezmorized by Elmo :)

We had a wonderful Father's Day with a wonderful Father :)

Now going backwards here a little, on Thursday, we were excited to have our friend, Estaban, from Spain fly in for a 24 hour visit to San Diego.  He came here to go to the Van Halen concert with Dana, and then spend the next day with everyone sightseeing in the city.  The time here was very short, but we were able to catch up quite a bit...

And while all the above was going on, we also had a special friend staying with us through the week.  We were honored to babysit Donnie the tortoise while our friends, Normandy and Jeff were away.  Eva LOVED Donnie.  She would run over to his cage every morning to stay "Hi Donnie" and would spend lots of time watching him eat or move around.

We would also take him out of his cage for some leisure excersize, but as it turns out, he has a thing for princesses and only wanted to spend his free time with her (love is in the air!)...

And now jumping way back to the day I mentioned all the mulch we had delivered to the house.  As Dana was out harvesting peaches, figs, and berries I thought I better take a pic to show how the mulch made our back yard look so beautiful.  Its not the best photography, but hopefully you can get the idea...

And the peaches Dana harvested?  Check them out!

Yummy, he picked about 15 in this bundle, but every day we have been eating 3-5 delicious peaches.  I told Dana this is by far the best fruit he has grown so far and I am so happy to say I can go straight to my backyard to get my hands on them.  Nice work, Dana!
