A while back I discovered that Eva's new love is Dora, The Explorer. So when Daddy and I found out Dora, Boots, the backpack, and the map were making a special appearance at the Safari Park we knew we couldn't miss out. Early Saturday morning we headed out to see Dora, making it early enough to be fifth in line...Eva was so mezmorized she wanted to stay and talk to Dora all day...
The only way to convince her otherwise was to promise her a ride on the carousel...
It was a short trip to the Safari Park that day, but probably the most exciting for Eva. And, in our book, making our little girl happy is all that matters to Mommy and Daddy.
Once we got home, we all had some things to work on at the house before our visitor arrived. Daddy had some fresh figs to pick from the fig trees, getting to use the new Hollow Leg I got him for his birthday. Before he headed out, we thought it would be funny to put Eva in the Harvesting Bag (Hollow Leg)...
Little did we realize, it was probably one of our biggest mistakes yet. She didn't want to get out! And now whenever she sees it, she thinks it's her special bag to be carried in on Daddy's hip. And when we try to explain that it isn't for her, she is VERY UNHAPPY. Haha, lesson learned.
Anyway, later in the day, my cousin, Mary, arrived at our house for a nice little visit to San Diego. Eva's been falling in love with her new play buddy and Rocky has been very happy with the extra attention he's been getting. Last night we finally checked out The Nighttime Zoo, which is celebrated throughout the summer and had a blast!
Until next time...
