No More Heat, Please!!

The last couple months have been the hottest months of my life.  Not because I'm pregnant, but because we are breaking records over here in San Diego.  It has been a huge burden on our lives, for it is way too hot to be outside for more than a few minutes.  Every week that goes by, I feel like it will be the last SUPER hot day, but no!  This week is another with heat advisories, advising us all to drink plenty of fluids and minimal activity outdoors.  But, good news?  We didn't let it bring us down.  We managed to get out and about for a few activities here and there to keep us from going crazy indoors.

As I mentioned last week, Eva has started her classes, which she has been super excited about.  She looks forward to playing with all the big toys they have...

And singing all the interactive songs with her friends.  Here she is, super excited about the "Sleeping Bunnies" song.  You lay on the floor and pretend you're a sleeping bunny, then "Hop, hop, hop!"  Its one of Eva's favorites, smile says it all...

She came home from class that day with her "Boo Boo Bear" craft, excited to give it to her two most recent favorite guys, Justin and Mike (the guys working our kitchen).  She posed with it in the morning before she handed it off, hoping to put a smile on their faces.  Mission accomplished.

Our outdoor class was the following day, which we were lucky it started off cool enough to play for a bit.  Eva jumped on the crockodile and, to my surprise, asked me to take a picture of her.  This is what she looks like in the middle of saying "Cheese!", which is better than running and hiding when she sees the camera, so I'll take it!...

Later that night Daddy surprised Eva with a trip to the pet store to look at kitties.  No, not to get one (pretty sure I'm allergic), but just to look. Eva has been a really big fan of kitties lately.  Ever since spending time with Zak Cat at Granny's house, she just loves kitty cats.  So, she had a blast when not only were their kitties to look at, but rats, mice, fishies, and turtles :)  Surprisingly, she didn't even ask to take one home (thank god, cuz it would've been hard to say no to her).

Over the weekend I got to have some girl time away from the house.  Daddy watched Eva on Friday night while I met up with my really good friend, Megan, who flew in from Washington.  We went out for sushi, walked around Ocean Beach, then ended at her sisters place to talk, talk, talk.  It sure was nice to have time with her, for she was here for a very short visit and its not very often that I get to see her.

I miss you already, Megan!  Come back soon :)
