On Sunday, my wonderful friend, Dalina, and my sister-in-law, Heather threw me a beautiful, wonderful, and super fun baby shower.
They did an amazing job setting up and decorating the event. One of my favorite pieces was the baby fruit bowl...How cute is this?
The theme of the shower was based on the invites they sent out. Everything had a matching label with info about the shower....
All the guests went home with a "thank you" candle they could light when baby arrives and think of him. So creative!
Of course there were fun games to play. The first was a multi-tasking game. You had to talk on the phone, hold a baby (AKA doggie), and see how many articles of clothing you could hang on the clothesline...
Using a piece of string, everyone had to guess how big my belly was...
And lastly, everyone guessed how many pieces of candy were in baby bottles. Of course they filled them with my favorite candies (and then made me take them home to eat!): Candy corn, Dove Dark Chocolate, and Skittles...
After games I opened all the generous gifts everyone brought. It was alot of fun seeing all the diffferent things we got for our little boy. It gave me time to think about him playing with the new toys, wearing his new clothes, and pooping in all his new diapers...
It was so nice to share this day with all of my friends...
And bump bellies with my other expectant mommies ;)
And while all of this was going on, Dana was at the Padres game with his buddies, drinking beer out of a baby bottle, celebrating in his own kind of way ;)
Thank you for everyone who made it, I had alot of fun and it was so nice to see you. An even bigger thanks to Dalina and Heather for even making it all possible. This baby is really enterting into a world surrounded by so much love.
