Me llamo Rocky

Giddyup, Cowboy!

Now that it's REALLY countdown time for baby to arrive, I have been riding on an emotional rollercoaster.  I feel as ready as I can be for baby, looking forward to meeting him for the first time, wrapping him in my arms and giving him as many hugs and kisses as he can tolerate.  On the other hand, I am realizing that I only have 2 weeks left where its just Eva and mommy during the week.  I keep looking at her and seeing this grown, smart, and energetic little girl and just can't believe how fast this time is going by.  I know she's going to be a great big sister, but part of me also worries about dividing my time, when we've been so use to just the two of us.

With all these realizations coming into play, no time is more meaningful to me right now than the time that we've been spending as a family (Mommy, Daddy, and Eva)...I know, what about Rocky, right?  Don't worry, I am also sneaking in extra cuddles with him as much as possible.  Anyway, today we decided to visit yet another pumpking patch, but this time with Daddy, too.  And, this one was extra special because it was one of WDS's clients, Bates Nut Farm.  Go ahead, click on the link, check out just how awesome their website is!!

We've been meaning to visit them ever since WDS picked them up as a client and no time was a better time than during pumpkin season.  Of course, we chose the one rainy day that we had this week, but Dana and I were not going to let a little rain knock us down.  Eva was happy and excited the whole time we were there.  There was so much to do and see.  She did everything from the simple, like jumping off of haybails with other kids...

To going on a hayride with mommy and daddy, pointing at all the corn stalks and scarecrows...

We visited the petting zoo, where Eva handed out lots of love to the goats, pig, chickens, turkey, sheep, and bunny rabbits.  And for those that let her, she gave them hugs and kisses, and a nice little petting down the back...

She ate one of her favorite foods, corn on the cob (finishing her whole cob almost as fast as daddy ate his)...

Then took us through the Hay maze...

But her most ULTIMATE favorite thing she did?...

A pony ride with Cowboy!!  And, she did it all by herself :)

Of course, we couldn't leave the pumpking patch without picking out pumpkins.  Eva and I picked out some great medium sized pumpkins, which Daddy hauled around...

And then Daddy picked out a "Big Monster Pumpkin", with Eva's approval (thumbs up!)

We had an absolutely amazing time today and are so happy to be cherishing these special moments together.
