Wedding Updates

So I realize that I haven't been keeping my blog as updated as I should and hope I didn't lose all my readers, ha! "Is anybody listening?" But, its only because both Dana and I have been so busy working and have the mentality that we will be taking lots of time off for the wedding, so we need to work extra hard now. I try keeping our businesses out of the blogs because its just not that interesting to the outsider, but in the last few months, that has been our lives. I have been spending all of my time creating my summer line, which I will be launching with a Trunk Show/Fashion Show the weekend before I go home. So I live, breathe, and eat fashion and clothing construction. Dana is working really hard to take the next step with his business, and is always juggling all of his clients and trying his best to make them a success.

Lately, I've been spending more time wedding planning and doing what I can before I go home in May. Some days I am really happy and excited, and other days I get really stressed about all the decisions a bride has to make. I can tell it has taken a toll on me because I slept 15 hours last night!! I was wondering why I've been so irritated lately, but now I realize I was lacking sleep. :)

I'm still working on my wedding gown, but haven't gotten too far. I try to work on it one day a week, but always tend to get distracted with other things. I have made my first sample for the flower girl and it is looking really cute. I will show it to her when I go to Michigan for our wedding shower and see what she thinks. I hope she likes it!!

We've also been spending some good time on our registries. At first it was too overwhelming for me, and I didn't really enjoy it, but then my mother-in-law sent me some recommendations on things that I may need or want and it made it so much easier and actually a bit fun. Its been really nice because needing her help with the registries has allowed us to have more time on the phone together. Much needed time!! I find that the more I talk to her the more we find things in common. Its a very comforting feeling and makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I've also been thinking alot of my decorations and my new sister-in-law, Heather, has been a tremendous help. She shares the same vision as me and has so many good ideas. It is going to be beautiful!  I can't wait for our big day!!!  The days are counting down and time is going sooo fast!!!
