Me llamo Rocky

Suzie Q

This last week, Eva's class had a field trip to Suzie's Farm.  Being that Daddy is somewhat of a farmer himself, he decided to take the time to come with us.  It was such a special treat to have him along.  Eva was very excited to show him her friends and I was equally as excited to introduce him to some of my mom friends all while having fun on a farm together.  They gave us a tour, where our guide, Abbey, shared all the fun facts and allowed us to sample some of their produce along the way.  One of their specialties is sprouts...

We got to see a baby chicken, which Eva really wanted to hold...

And at the end of the tour, we got to buy a bag of their produce to take home.  Eva and some of her friends sampled their pickings before we left...

On Friday night, Dana and I had our first date night alone with a babysitter home with both kids.  I was excited to dress up, do my hair, and put on makeup.  Being that its such a rare occasion that I do it all, Eva kept asking "Mommy, what are you doing?"  So I explained that I was going on a date with daddy and that I wanted to look really pretty for him.  The next day, Daddy asked her if SHE would like to go on a date with him.  She was so exicted, she insisted I put her in a "ballerina dress", do her hair, and of course, put on makeup.  From the way she blasted through the door at the end of the night, it sounds like they had a really good time.

I realized the next morning that their date was in preparation for Mother's Day, for Eva woke me up with a big purple bag while saying "Happy Mother's Day".  Eva picked out the most wonderful mother's day gift, a Willow Tree figurine of "Mother and Daughter".  She then wanted both of us to wear "ballerina dresses" and hold each other like the figures were doing.  It was so cute, and we did just that.  Eva and Daddy then surprised me with news that we were going on a brunch cruise in the San Diego Bay.  I attempted a pic with the kids, but it turned out to be very sunny and mighty hot, so this is as close as it got...

Dana and I managed to get a couple nice shots with all the beautiful sights...

As I mentioned above, the day turned out to be extremely hot (over 100) that we spent the rest of the day indoors watching movies.  If you ask me, it was the best Mother's Day ever, I got everything I could ever ask for (did I mention Dana did most of my mommy duties all day?)

While indoors, Eva has been getting extremely creative with her time.  I could watch her all day as she uses her imagination to come up with different ways to entertain herself and Enzo.  The other day, she took Enzo for a ride in her car.  Pretty sure she drives just like her daddy by the look on Enzo's face...

But as soon as Eva let Enzo take it for a spin, I think he understood faster was better...

The last pictures I want to share are of Enzo.  He is starting to sit up on his own if we place him in the sitting position....

...enjoying his atmosphere from a new point of view...

And now I will end with an Eva quote.  As I mentioned above, Eva's imagination is through the roof these days.  With that comes alot of funny things coming out of her mouth, giving Dana and I a good laugh.  I wish I was better at recording them as they happen, but then I think "This is so funny, how could I forget it." and then, I forget it just like that.  The latest one fresh in my head was this morning.  Eva went potty and therefore took her her pants off.  I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to getting her dressed for the day, so I threw her pj pants in the hamper.  She says "Where are my pants?"  I told her they were in the hamper.  And she replies, "But, but, I need them on these legs." Pointing down at her legs.
