Me llamo Rocky

Enzo Turns Eight Months!

Enzo is 8 months old, a baby no more.  This little guy is really blossoming into a precious little boy.

Last week, he was really sick with a fever, a cough, and having a hard time breathing, so we had to use a nebulizer to help him out for a few days.  But, even that wouldn't stop him from being the happy little guy that he ALWAYS is.  Yes, he even smiled while I nebulized him...

And, on that very same day he learned how to crawl!!  As soon as he got going, there was no turning back.  He is crawling around in full swing and loving how quickly he can get to the things he really wants.  Remember the blog I wrote celebrating his reach for Rocky's food?  Well, no celebrating anymore.  He figured out how to get to it, and get to it very quickly...

Luckily, my darling little girl loves helping mommy, so she says "Uh oh, Mommy!  No, no baby boy.  No, no baby boy.  Here, I pick it up."  She asked me to get Enzo away and insisted she pick up every piece of food to put back in the dish "by myself!".  I have now given her all time dog food duty, she loves the responsibility :)

Enzo is also starting to test out Eva's toys, but there is no doubt a difference between he and her.  He loves Eva's car (as does she), but where she loves to grab her purse and her stuffed toys and pile in her car to go to the store to "buy cookies for Auntie Hedder", Enzo wants to know what the engine looks like, what type of key goes into the ignition, and how fast he can get the wheels to move...

I've recently started giving Enzo finger foods to start feeding himself.  Alot of times he really prefers you feed it to him, but he is getting better and better every day.  I've given him tons of different fruits, veggies, fish, chicken, cereal, baby puffs, crackers, or whatever I can come up with, but so far his favorites are muffins, cheerios, salsa chicken, and tortillas.  I know he really loves daddy's fruit, but he is still trying to figure out how to get the slimey pieces into his mouth before he slip out from his fingers and fall to the ground.
