Granny Nanny Continues to San Diego

After spending a week in Hawaii with Granny, she continued her journey with us back to San Diego to spend another week.  We spent alot of our time having fun at the house, only getting out for little shopping trips or a walk around the block.  Granny and Eva made French Toast one morning...

On Tuesday, it was my mom's birthday, so we did some celebrating Granny-style.  We started the morning off with a homemade card, made from flowers in our back yard...

Then followed it with a trip to Chollas Park, which is a man-made lake down the street from our house that has tons of ducks that you can feed.  My mom loves animals and being outdoors, so Eva and I have been very excited to show her this fun place...

That evening, Dana surprised my mom with flowers, I made dinner, and then we ended the night with the chocolatiest chocolate birthday cake...

One day, we decided to get out and do something with the kids for the morning.  Eva had been wanting to go to the Science Center for quite some time now, so we chose to go there.  It had been a few months since our last visit, so I was curious to see what new things the kids would be interested in, if anything at all.  Where Eva typically just runs around the place and checks things out for about a second, this time she gave everything like 2 seconds, haha.  I remember thinking the last time I went that maybe it was just better for older kids...UNTIL I brought Enzo.  OMG, this place was made for him.  They have these fun balls that get sucked up by a vacuum tube and blast through the room.  Eva never really gave them the time of day, but Enzo?  He couldn't get enough of them, I could've watched him for hours.  You could almost see his brain working in overtime trying to figure out how everything worked...

Eva eventually found the giant kaleidoscope to be entertaining...

Eva's favorite part of going to the science center is always to eat her snack by the water fountain.  That way she can run wildly around the water and chase the birds.  Luckily, this time she was willing to take a picture with Granny...

Since Dana had been working all week, he really didn't get much time with Granny, but I think he made up for it with just a short 30 minutes.  How, you might ask?  A Bronco ride, of course!!!

Back at home, Granny thoroughly enjoyed playing with all our animals.  She gave Rocky more attention in the one week she was here than I probably have since Enzo's been born.  She worked on getting Rocky to accept some petting from Enzo (although he accepted very reluctantly)...

But if there is one picture that could sum up Granny's week in San Diego, it would be this:

Granny, thank you for all of your help and spoiling the kids and animals.  We love you and miss you too much already!
