The sun is finally shining, and boy is it hot! Dana and I had a great weekend together and spent lots of time outside. We both have really red shoulders to prove it. First, though, we were honored to have our brother-in-law (well, mine, soon to be) in town through the week working with Dana at the big office of Web Design Solutions. They worked hard, ate hard, and Ryan did lots of push ups. :) We also got the opportunity to introduce Ryan to Phil's Barbeque, which is absolutely the best BBQ in town. I still haven't done it, but I swear I could eat a whole rack of baby back ribs, and next time I just might do it!
Anyway, after he left on Saturday, we went to my friend, Isha's wedding. It was so pretty. I know Isha because she is also a fashion designer and we try to get involved with fashion events together. We have built a great connection through the love of art and design, and we were also planning our weddings at the same time. So, it was great to be a witness to her beautiful day. Her and her now husband, Nate, got married on the La Jolla cove, close to the spot where Dana purposed. The day was perfect and she looked absolutely gorgeous wearing the dress that she made herself!
Today, Dana and I spent the day walking and eating way too much. We bought tickets for "The Taste of Adams", which is where we walk up and down Adams Avenue and sample food at each of the 25 restaurants in the area. I think we got to maybe 15 before we threw in the towel. Not only were we more full than I could've ever imagined, but it was the first real hot, sunny day of the summer, and we just weren't use to it, or even prepared for it. Our feet are killing us and I still can't think about food, even 7 hours later.
We ended the day by watching the movie "The Hangover", which is hilarious, and then coming home to take Rocky for a walk, since he was home most of the day by himself. :( If you haven't seen the movie yet and you need a good laugh, I highly recommend it. Of course, now I joke around with Dana about how I won't let him go on his bachelor party. Ha!
